Deanna has been an educator at the Cottage for the past ten years and this year is the leader of the Koala room. Outside of work, Deanna enjoys horse riding, reading and time with friends. Her favourite part of her day is watching the babies in the Koala room and seeing their cheeky personalities come out.
A believer in life-long learning, Deanna is herself continuing to do further study and is also taking on some of the role of Education Leader. As a recent grandmother, she is deeply aware of the needs of new mothers for support.
Deanna and the Koala Room educators are always making sure our babies feel safe, secure and build that strong sense of belonging by celebrating and embracing the diversity of the room. Deanna’s vision for the Koala Room in 2021 is that all babies are supported to be confident, resilient and happy.
